Director
Tim Monaghan commenced practice as a specialist criminal defense lawyer in 1989. Since then, he has gained considerable experience in the Western Australian criminal justice system, representing hundreds of clients facing criminal charges of all types and all levels of seriousness, appearing in the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia. He practices both as a barrister and solicitor, appearing in Court as defence counsel and as required, briefing and assisting senior barristers to assist.
He is committee member of the Western Australian Criminal Law Association and has lectured in trial advocacy for the WA Law Society.

Fleur Robinson was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2023. She regularly appears in the Magistrates Court, representing clients across a diverse range of criminal, traffic, and restraining order matters.
With a background in family law, Fleur brings a practical and considered approach to matters involving overlapping criminal and family law proceedings, with a focus on resolving matters efficiently and effectively.
Fleur is known for her approachable manner and clear communication. She understands that the criminal justice system can be daunting to navigate, and ensures her clients are informed, supported, and guided through it with confidence and clarity.

Elex completed a Bachelor of Criminology and Justice at Edith Cowan University in 2022 before going on to achieve her Juris Doctor at the University of Western Australia in 2025. She is due to be admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in May of 2026.
Before joining Monaghan Lawyers, Elex gained extensive practical legal experience, undertaking supervised legal training with Simon Watters and employment at Magenta Legal Criminal Lawyers. She has worked on a wide range of matters of varying seriousness and complexity and has assisted at all stages of the criminal process, including plea and sentence proceedings, trials and appeals.
Elex values clear, honest communication and strives to ensure that her clients feel heard and supported throughout the progression of their matter. She is a dedicated and approachable advocate who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for those she represents.
